Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation released a new national standard called "Safety Requirements for Child Safety Seats", which clearly requires that all safety seats applicable to children aged 0-7 must be equipped with five point seat belts. This standard will be officially implemented on December 1st, and six new testing indicators will be added, including anti misoperation of seat belt buckles and abrasion resistance of webbing.
The five point safety belt is fixed at five points by the shoulder strap, waist strap, and crotch strap, which can disperse the impact force of collisions and reduce the risk of head and torso injuries in children. According to data from the Municipal Quality Inspection Institute, seats equipped with compliant five point seat belts can reduce the serious injury rate of children in accidents by 40%. Regulatory authorities remind parents to check whether the product complies with the new national standard certification when purchasing, and avoid using old or simple seat belts.
